Invented by SB Tactical®, the Pistol Stabilizing Brace® is an accessory which, when added to a large frame pistol, provides the shooter with an additional point of contact, greatly enhancing the control of the host firearm.

The Final ATF Brace Rule published in January 2023 was vacated by a U.S. District Court in June 2024 and is no longer in effect. The Eighth Circuit also found the rule’s underlying factors to be arbitrary and capricious, as SB Tactical urged in FRAC v. Garland. Federal law does not regulate sale or ownership of braces as standalone items; instead, it regulates firearms equipped with braces. As configuration changes may alter the classification of a particular firearm, the user bears sole responsibility for determining the correct application of state and federal law.  SB Tactical strongly recommends reaching out to qualified legal counsel for matters of compliance as state and local laws can vary drastically across the country.

Invented by SB Tactical®, the Pistol Stabilizing Brace® is an accessory which, when added to a large frame pistol, is designed and intended only for use as a forearm brace to provide a more stable firearm platform. Braces are neither designed nor intended to allow a pistol to be fired from the shoulder.

The zero dollar tax stamp for Short Barreled Rifles (SBRs), suppressors, Short Barreled Shotguns (SBSs), and AOWs becomes effective January 1, 2026. Until then, the standard $200 tax still applies for SBRs and similar NFA items.
If you submit your Form 4 (or Form 1) on or after January 1, 2026, you’ll pay $0 for the tax stamp. Even though the $200 tax for SBRs, suppressors, SBSs, and AOWs drops to $0, these items remain classified as NFA-regulated firearms. They must still go through the standard NFA process.
