Frequently Asked Questions

Is my Pistol Stabilizing Brace® legal?

The Final ATF Brace Rule published in January 2023 does not regulate sale or ownership of braces as standalone items; instead, it regulates firearms equipped with braces. According to the ATF, braces are still legal to purchase and to own, and we are continuing production on all current products.

There are several court cases in process today challenging the legality of this rule so the status may change.  SB Tactical strongly recommends reaching out to qualified legal counsel for matters of compliance as state and local laws can vary drastically across the country.

What is a Pistol Stabilizing Brace®?

Invented by SB Tactical®, the Pistol Stabilizing Brace® is an accessory which, when added to a large frame pistol, provides the shooter with an additional point of contact, greatly enhancing the control of the host firearm.
